LATEST NEWS FROM THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE

This section will be updated regularly to keep Club members informed of decisions and actions taken by the Management Committee.

ITEMS OF NOTE FROM THE MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE MINUTES 13 September 2019

  1. Breezeway Access: It is intended that a key repository will be made available on the southern side to allow easier access to the  breezeway for members using the B green.
  2. The Club Christmas Lunch will be held on Sunday December 12, 2021, commencing at 12.30pm. The Ladies’ Facility Committee will coordinate this Club Event and details will be provided to members in December.
  3. Clubroom Air Conditioning : Quotes have been obtained for  airconditioning the clubroom and a $5000 grant towards this has been successfully sought. Two ceiling cassettes will be installed and the existing evaporative cooling units will be retained.
  4. Club Tournaments 2021: Both ladies’ and Men’s tournament nomination sheets have been placed in the Clubhouse.
  5. Bar Assistance: Wazz is delighted with the support provided by John Gaylard, Eric Smith, John Hallas and Bryan Tuttle in cleaning the bar whist he manages the bar takings.

  7. Club Measurers: Greg Hall, Eric Smith, John Hallas, Kim Bolger and Susan Sladec have completed the BOWLS SA MEASURER’S COURSE. Three other members were reaccredited, and they were: Ron Turnbull, David White and Lyn White.
  8. Premiership Photographs: These will be taken at the first home game of all Division One Teams and a notice to this effect will be placed on the Club Notice Boards.
  9. Proposed Night Pennant Bowls Interclub Game: Further discussion and clarification of this suggestion is continuing.
  10. Proposed Quiz Night: Further discussion and clarification of this suggestion is continuing.
  11. Club Computer and Printer: All hardware has been received with the exception of  a laser printer which is expected in November The club  computer is now the electronic suppository of Club records and communications.
  12. Hutches and Cupboards: The better storage of members’ bowls, Club Historical records and other club records is being investigated and members will be notified of options after quotes are obtained and considered.
